Benjamin J. "Ben" Vinson

Benjamin J. “Ben” Vinson, 38 of Zanesville passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at his residence. To those who knew him, he was known as “Big Ben” and a gentle giant, giving some of the best hugs. He grew up full of never ceasing energy. Keeping his parents on their toes early on. Ben was always told he should have been a comedian as he provided so many belly laughs and smiles, even in the midst of hard times. He had a heart of gold and would have done anything for those he loved. He will be deeply missed. Ben was born on May 9, 1982 in Fort Wayne, the son of William and Wanda (Brock) Vinson. Survivors include his mother: Wanda Vinson of Markle; a brother: Allen (Esmeralda) Vinson of Fort Wayne; two sisters: Michelle Hill of Fort Wayne, Amanda (Tim) Stevens of Markle, who was his twin; multiple nephews and nieces who he adored, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father: William Vinson; maternal and paternal grandparents. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana with funeral service to be held following visitation at 5:00 pm. We will be following the CDC’s and Indiana’s guidelines for Social Distancing and Social Gathering Limits. Interment will take place at Hoverstock Cemetery in Zanesville at a later date. Memorial donations can be made out to The Vinson Family in care of Myers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 403, Markle, IN 46770.
