Bobby D Ormsby

Bobby D. "Duff" Ormsby, 82 of Markle passed away at 1:28 a.m. on the morning of Sunday June 9, 2019 at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home. Bobby was a 1954 graduate of Markle High School. After high school he joined the military and served his country in the United States Army. Upon leaving the army he went to work in construction, working for John Dehner for over 50 years. Bobby loved to hunt and donated a lot of his time to several organizations including the Markle Park and the Boy Scouts. Bobby loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Bobby was born on December 24, 1936 in Zanesville Indiana, the son of Ivan and Lucille (Harshner) Ormsby. He was united in marriage to Janet Swoverlind on August 24, 1956. His wife survives. Additional survivors include four sons: Brent (Sue) Ormsby of Huntington, Mike (Laura) Ormsby of Huntington, Ted (Marie) Ormsby of Huntington, and Darren (Laurie) Ormsby of Huntington; Six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five sisters, two brothers, and a great grandchild. There will be no public visitation or funeral services.
