Ricky A. Francoeur

Ricky A. Francoeur, 62 of Markle passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020 at his residence. Ricky worked in fabrication and body work for many years. He was a volunteer firefighter, EMT and first responder. He was a member of the Awakening Church and served running the camera on the AV team, and past member and past president of the Andrews Lions Club. Ricky was an avid gardener and loved spending time with his family. He was born on May 30, 1958 in Holyoke, Massachusetts, the son of the late Edward R. and Theresa A. (Fontaine) Francoeur. He was united in marriage to Eva M. Baker on February 9, 1980 in Granby, Massachusetts. Eva survives. Additional survivors include four sons: Matthew (Amy Quinn) Diehl of LaGrange; Andrew (Michelle Mettert) Diehl of Poneto; Ricky D. Francoeur of Markle; Steven Fournier of Lebanon, TN; a brother: Edward F. (Ellen) Francoeur of Holyoke, Mass.; a sister: Sandra (Rita Fournier) Francoeur of Lebanon, TN; ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister: Paulette Francoeur. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at the Awakening Church, 235 Safari Trail, Huntington, Indiana with memorial service to be held immediately following at 3:00 pm. We will be following the CDC’s guidelines for Social Distancing and Social Gathering Limits.
