

Bertha M. Pavelka, 92, of Marlin entered into rest Wednesday, May 9, 2012. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 A.M. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. John Kelly and Deacon Charlie Wright officiating. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Friday at Adams Funeral Home with Deacon Julian Tyboroski officiating. Visitation with the family will be before and after the Rosary.
Mrs. Pavelka was born November 5, 1919 in Falls County to George and Mary Dehmer Greger. She was a welder in WWII in the Shipyards, an Operator for Southwestern Bell and also worked at the Falls County Jail as a cook under Sheriff L.O. Hay. On November 4, 1950 Bertha married the love of her life, Jim. They were blessed to spend 50 wonderful years together. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandma, and great granny. Bertha loved to garden, sew, and quilt. She was a lifelong resident of Marlin and a faithful member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church until she could no longer attend.
Bertha was preceded in death by her husband Jim in 2001, 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Garcia and husband Tom, Jr.; granddaughters; Suzy Kluck and husband Tash; Maggie Garcia and fiancé Ray Bruner; great-granddaughter, Tayvin Kluck; sisters, Mary Helen Conners and Almalina Roessler; brothers, Tony Greger and Raymond Greger.
Pallbearers will be David Roessler, Scott Conners, Jeff Conners, Bernard Greger, Nick Greger, and Jerome Greger.
