

Emma Colunga, 82, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in Mansfield, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be Sunday, April 9, at 3 p.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Marlin with Father Ron Feather as Celebrant. Visitation will be Saturday, April 8, from 5-7 p.m. with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Emma was born March 10, 1935 to Emilio and Eulalia (Beltran) Rosas in Falls County, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Falls County. Emma was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church. Prior to Saint Joseph, she was a member of Santa Maria De Pelar Catholic Church and a Guadalupana member for the church. Emma worked 20 years as a seamstress at Easter’s upholstery shop in Marlin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde R. Colunga, Sr.; 6 brothers and 3 sisters.
Survivors include her sons, Richard (Ricky) R. Colunga of Mart, Clyde R. Colunga, Jr. of Marlin, and Nick Colunga of Marlin; grandchildren: Jose (Eli) Arjon, Jr. II, Richard Cayman Colunga, Courtney Lynn Colunga, Cristiana Olivera, Christopher Colunga; great-grandchildren: Xavier Flores, Jose (Trey) Arjon III, Isaiah Arjon; sisters, Mary Tovar and husband, Camilio of Marlin, Estella Carrizales of Marlin, and Geneva Robles of Marlin; brothers, Fred Rosas and wife, Olga of Marlin, and Emilio Rosas and wife, Patty of Fort Worth.
