George Steven "Steve" Price was born on June 28, 1961 in Marlin, Texas to William "Bill" and Mary Hunnicutt Price. Steve took his last earthly breath on October 5, 2021 at 12:15 pm and his forever heavenly breath began at 12:16 pm. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Blue Ridge Cemetery with Father Ray Bagby, officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 pm at Blue Ridge Cemetery.
Steve married the love of his life, Libby on July 3, 2001 in Marlin, Texas where they spent every day together for 20 years. Steve enjoyed the outdoors; hunting and fishing. He was a skilled bow hunter and had a great love of the land and wildlife. Steve was a welder by trade but was also a jack of all trades and a master of none. He was an avid animal lover and leaves behind his best friends and companions, Tanner and Rio.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, William E. Price, and by his sister, Virginia Price Eden.
Left to honor his memory is his wife; Libby, step son; Chip Pierce and family of West Monroe, Louisiana, aunt; Tidy and Melinsky of Waco, Texas, nephews; Justin and Jared Murry of Waco, Texas, friends; Sam & Patty Bosnack of Marlin, Texas, daughter; Georgie Price Martinez and husband; Orbelin (Billy) Martinez, Jr. of Stephenville, granddaughter; Zaynah Martinez; brothers; Philip Price, Sr. of Waco and wife, Marissa, Bryson H. Price and wife, Elza of Dallas; Howard B. Price of Cypress and James E. Price and wife, Estelle Carter of Dallas, and sister; Mary Ann Price Close and husband, Ralph of Georgetown. He is also survived by the family that he chose and the family that chose him.
