

Joel was born on January 4, 1946, in Groesbeck, Texas, Limestone county to Isidoro and Erlinda Davila.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Janie (Zarazua) Davila, their daughter Adelina (Davila) Archuleta, her husband James Archuleta, and three grandchildren - Amos, James Jacob, and Ana -all of Colorado, his son, Joel Davila Jr. and his wife Linda Davila and their children - Timothy and Matthew of Marlin, Texas.
He also leaves behind his sisters, Irene (John) Garza of Dallas, Texas; Anita Moody of Camden, North Carolina; Mary Davila and Helen Jaimes, both of Marlin, Texas; sister-in-law, Corina Davila of Dallas, Texas; brother-in-law, Cornelio and his wife, Betty Zarazua of Waco, Texas, as well as many greatly loved nephews, nieces, and other greatly loved family.
He believed in the power of prayer and always took the opportunity to pray with anyone, anywhere. He counted it a great privilege to be in the service of the Lord. Last year, he celebrated 50 years in ministry.
He will be remembered as a loving, generous, prayerful husband, father, brother, uncle, Pastor, and friend.
