Funeral Services will be 1:00p.m., Friday, May 3, 2013 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Waite Cemetery in Reagan, Texas. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 5pm to 7pm at Adams Funeral Home.
Mike was born May 16, 1928 to Mr. and Mrs. N.L. Short in Ellis County. He lived in the Regan and Marlin area through his life. He retired from Lone Star Gas Company after 38 years of service. He later served as Constable for 12 years in Marlin. Mike loved hunting and was a true family man. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He preceded in death his parents; daughter, Debbie Thigpen; five brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife of over 63 years Frances; son Tim Short; Grandsons, Jason and Todd Thigpen; 4 great-grandchildren; and sister, Annette Spadora.
