Patricia Lee Abate Vann

Patty was born in Bryan, Texas on August 2, 1938 to Annie Mae and Pat Abate. She was raised in Marlin, graduated Marlin High School in 1956 and then later graduated Blinn College with a teaching degree. Patty worked for many years at Marlin City Hall and more recently teaching preschool. Her life was exceptional in the way that she loved and sacrificed for her family and friends. She exemplified Christ by always taking care of others in every way. After the death of her loving husband Henry, and her parents, she spent her days encouraging, supporting and praying for her children and grandchildren. She was the best mother and grandmother imaginable and the loss is almost unbearable to those that were fortunate to have known her and laughed with her.

Patricia is preceded in death by her husband Henry Vann, and her parents, Annie Mae Palasota and Pat Abate.

She is survived by her sister, Margaret Grochoske, her children Monica and Kelly Fry of Houston, Angela and James Baudhuin of Dallas and John McCoy of Marlin. She leaves behind her beautiful grandchildren, Colton and Madison Fry and Alexandra and Isabella Baudhuin.
