Barbara Smith Herbert passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013 at the age of 64. Mother of Karen Wooley (Elliott) of Baton Rouge and Michele Blue of Harvey; Sister of Joycelyn Smith Forest, Wanda Smith Cole (Robert), Warren Smith Sr. (Melona), Michael Smith (Mary), and the late Linda Smith Williams (Leonard); Grandmother of Deanna Hunter, Calvin Blue Jr., and Erica Blue; Great grandmother of Jayden Hunter and Freedom Hunter. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was a long time inspector for Orkin Pest Control and also worked with the Jefferson Council on Aging.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 9:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 8:30 AM. Express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
