Benjamin Henry Rock

Benjamin Henry Rock, 65, was called home by his Lord on March 7, 2013. Beloved husband of Cynthia Fontana Rock for 18 years. Father of Michael H. Rock and William B. Rock (Desiree). Grandfather of Darianne, Ciera, and Emilee. Brother of James S. Rock, Jr., David Rock, Isabel Russak (David), and Anne Laura Massicot (Keith). Uncle of Jessica R. Sharp (James) and David Russak, Jamie Rock Kelly, Jessica and Amanda Rock, and Stacy Clifford. Preceded in death by his parents, James S. Rock, Sr. and Anne Laura Vallone Rock. Ben was a native of Portsmouth, New Hampshire and resident of Marrero for 18 years. Ben was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam War, and received an honorable discharge. He assisted and cooperated with many veterans as a loyal volunteer. He was involved with many organizations, including the Civil Air Patrol, American Legion, and Louisiana Steam Train Association. He received a Bachelor Degree in Business and an Associate Degree in Chemistry from the University of Oklahoma. Relatives and Friends of the family, and also family members of AA, are invited to attend the Memorial Service from Westside LEITZ-EAGAN, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Friday Afternoon, June 7, 2013 at 1:00. Visitation will begin at 11:00 in the morning. At a later date, his remains will be interred in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
