Mrs. Berthile Ann Potter

Berthile Schmill Potter, age 70, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 23, 2010. She is survived by and will be deeply missed by her loving husband Carl Potter. Loving mother of Gail P. Tobin, (husband, Danny), Roland J. Prestenback, Jr. (wife, Renee’) and the late Polly P. Thibodeaux (husband, Steve). Grandmother of Blandon Zeringue, Tomilee Abadie, Roland Prestenback, III, Kayla Prestenback, Cole and Shontell Thibodeaux and the late Tanya Zeringue. Step-grandmother of Missie Abadie and Meeka Tobin. Great-grandmother of Noah Zeringue and Brennan Thibodeaux and step-great-grandmother or Madeline and Matthew Coffey and Mason Kiley. Also survived by her brother Edward Schmill and sisters Ella Lirette and Lucille Lane. She was preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Melonie Bergeron Schmill; brothers, Thomas and Percy Schmill and sisters, Frances Glass, Dora Schaubhut, Molly Diffy, Wilamenia McShane, Mary Galande and Maude Cologne. She was the sister-in-law of Cecil “Sonny” Potter (wife, Gwen) and Robert “Bobby” Potter, (wife, Barbara) She was a native and lifetime resident of Luling, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass from Holy Family Church, 155 Holy Family Lane and Lakewood Drive, Luling, LA on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Visitation at Holy Family Church will begin at 9:00 AM until funeral time. Interment will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Luling, LA.
