Charles James Touchard

Charles James Touchard was born July 21, 1941 to the late Antoine Touchard and Shirley Lepine Touchard. He passed away peacefully at his daughters home on Saturday, September 14, 2024. Devoted father of Jeanine Guidry (Rosco), Melissa Bernard, Darla Wicker (Orval), and Melodie Helmstetter. Grandfather of Brian Alexie, Brandon Alexie (Danielle), Shandy Guidry, Eugene Bernard (Monica), Misty Bernard (Eric), Valerie Weaver (David), Olivia Wicker-Perez (Josh), Travis Wicker, and Tyler Helmstetter. Great Grandfather of Justin Alexie (Brooke), Kayla Alexie Leite (Andrew), Mason Alexie, Emma Alexie, Billy Smith, Ian Adams, Bentley Landry, Brandi Bernard, Brianna Bernard, Landon Bernard, Tanner Nielson, Dillan Nielson, Ella Weaver, and Jackson Perez. Brother of the late Joy Marie Labit (Norbert), Margie Boutte (the late Russell), Gaynell Moulliet (John), Kathleen Touchard, the late Martha Touchard Buffinet, and the late Roy Touchard (the late Sue). Charles is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends that will miss him dearly.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, September 20th, 2024 in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 9:00AM and continue until the Mass time. Charles will be laid to rest following the Mass at Westlawn Park Cemetery in Gretna, Louisiana.
