Donald Joseph Cook Sr.

Donald Joseph Cook Sr. passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015 at the age of 75. He was the beloved husband of Diane Orgeron Cook. Son of the late John Cook and Josie Walsh Cook.Father of DeeDee Leleaux (Ricky), Gregory Cook, Carol Monjure, and the late Donald Cook Jr., as well as stepfather of Troy Roundtree and Brandon Roundtree. Brother of Joyce McMahon, Kathy Walters, Johnny Cook (Gerry), and David Cook Sr. (Becky). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Chantel, Timmy, Danielle, Michelle, Michael, Madison, Brittany, Mark, Reed, and Alexis, and his great grandchildren, Breanna, Ne’Vaeh, Carson, Aliyaha, Emmanuel, Preston, and Nathan, as well as his loyal canine companion Buddy, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was retired from the City of New Orleans Sanitation Department and Aviation Board. He loved fishing, boiling seafood, and working in his garden, but he loved his family most of all. The family would like to thank Dr Satti, her nurse Michelle, and the Oncology Staff. A special thanks to Charlie and Jen and the Critical Care team that fought so hard to save him at Ochsner.
