Dorothy Leigh Jones

Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was the daughter of the late Johnnie Benita Allen and the late Enous Allen, Sr. She had some college education, and she was a homemaker devoted to her family.

She is survived by her husband and four children, Vittorio Jones, Vedia Jackson, Danny Jones, and the late Darrell Jones; her four siblings, Emma Dean Epperson (the late Buster), the late Arletha, Curtis, and Enous, Jr.; six grandchildren, Wayne, Jr. (Kristian), Breion (Edward), Brandi, Bronson, Jasmine and Darrell Jr.; ten great grandchildren, Trinity, Tristen, Makhi, Wayne III, Torie, Lillia, the late Rayne, Kayleigh, Liam, London, and Aubrey; three great great grandchildren, Jaidyn, Cameron, and Nathaniel, Jr. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Sharvell Jones. Dorothy is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, October 5, 2024 in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 9:00AM and continue until the service time. Dorothy will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Westlawn Park Cemetery in Gretna, Louisiana.
