Dottie Lynn Cheramie

Dottie Cheramie, Age 53, native and resident of Galliano, passed away on Sunday, July 13th, 2025.

Visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church 17980 W. Main Street, Galliano, LA on Saturday, July 19th from 10 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Don Cheramie Sr.; her two sons, Don Cheramie II and Timothee Cheramie (Elizabeth); her daughter Alexandra Cheramie; grandchildren Saoirse (Sir-Sha) Cheramie and Sullivan Cheramie; Sisters Connie (Damas) Demere, Sarah Thibodeaux, and Renee Cheramie Sassoni; Brothers Scott (Malette) Lee, Clarke Lee, Lance Lee, Harris Lee Jr., Destry Cheramie, Grant Lee; Nephews Terrance Lee II, Blaine Lee, Scott Lee II, Bruce Lee, John Lagarde, Joao Araujo, and Lucas Araujo; Niece Renee Lagarde; lifelong friend Angie Araujo

She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret C Gaussiran; Father, Harris (Boodoo) Lee Sr.; Grandparents, Andrew and Eva Cheramie, Lorris Griffin, and Josephine Lee; and Brother Terrance (Terry) Lee Sr.

Dottie lived and enjoyed every day of her life to the fullest. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family and loved ones, especially her kids and grandkids. She loved anything outdoors and sports. You could always find her on her porch with a cup of coffee and a smile.

The family would like to thank all who were involved in her care over the last couple of years.
