Earl Joseph Ayo passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the age of 91. He was the beloved husband of Doris M. Ayo for 70 years. He was a native of Waggaman and a resident of Slidell for the past 7 years. He was the son of the late Regina Berthelot Ayo and Ernest Ayo. He is survived by his two children, Kathy Comeaux (Clyde, Sr.) and Leroy Ayo (Linda), his six grandchildren, Marty, Melanie, Mandy, C.J., Chad and Chris, as well as 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Earl was a Veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II where he was wounded and received a Purple Heart.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Chapel.
