Elsie Cancienne Rodrigue entered into Eternal Rest on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the age of 87 surrounded with love from her family. She was the beloved wife of the late C.J. Kelly Rodrigue and the loving mother of Rae Perkins (Carl), Johnny Rodrigue (Terri) and the late Ronald Rodrigue. She was the devoted grandmother of 5 and the great-grandmother of 4. She was the daughter of the late George Cancienne and Beatrice Lasseigne Cancienne as well as the sister of Doris Aysenne (the late Lynn), Paul Cancienne (Joy), Alyce Folse (Roger), the late Ruth Cancienne, the late Lloyd Cancienne (Lilly) and the late Marie Rodrigue. Elsie is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends from Wynhoven. Elsie retired from Jefferson Parish Water Department and she was a longtime resident of the Westbank.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 21, 2013 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Chapel.
