Farrell Louis Bourgeois, Sr. passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2015 at the age 82. Devoted father of Farrell Louis Bourgeois, Jr., Loyd Joseph Bourgeois, Sr, Tina Bourgeois Franks, Randy Breaux, and the late John Thomas Bourgeois, Sr. A proud grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Son of the late Myrtle Aguilar Bourgeois Byrns and Justy Bourgeois, Sr. and step-father Thomas Byrns. Brother of Jerry Byrns and preceded in death by Justy Bourgeois, Jr. and Larry Bourgeois. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Farrell was a native New Orleans, LA and a lifelong resident of the Westbank. He retired after many years working for the Jefferson Parish Council for the Aging and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Upon retirement he enjoyed reading, relaxing watching TV and spending time with family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy., Marrero, LA on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 11:00 am. Visitation from 9:00 am until Funeral time. Interment following in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Avondale, LA.
