Gene Dennis Vincent

Gene Dennis Vincent, age 88 years and lifelong resident of Lafitte, LA, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 13, 2025, due to complications of a Stroke. Gene was born on December 15, 1936, to the late Bowdie Vincent and Elsie Kerner Vincent. Beloved husband of 67 years to Phyllis Alexie Vincent.

Devoted father of Gene Bowdie Vincent (Rhonda), Theron Phillip Vincent (Ellen), and Gage Tyler Vincent (Jennifer).

Brother of Lyle Luke Vincent (late: Jean Ann), Janice V. Doughty (late: Darrell), Zelia V. Still (late: Jerry), Karen V. Hotard (late: Henry), and the late Gregory Kerner Vincent.

Grandfather of Jade Creppel (Colby), Kade Vincent, and Emery Ida Vincent.

Great Grandfather of Cohen Creppel, Jonas Creppel and Chloe Creppel.

Also survived by a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins other relatives and friends.

Gene was an Electrician for IBEW Local 130 for over 50 years. His passion was spending time with his three sons; fishing, shrimping and hunting the great bounty South Louisiana has to offer. Gene and his family were members of the Elks Orleans Carnival Club for over 30 years. He and his wife enjoyed planning, designing and building the family float every year.

Relative and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation at Barataria Baptist Church, 2596 Jean Lafitte Blvd, Lafitte, LA on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Followed by the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Pius X Cemetery, Crown Point, LA.
