Geneva Ann Landry

Geneva Ann Hessel Landry entered peacefully into heaven on Sunday, December 11, 2016 after a long battle with COPD. She was the loving mother of Michele Santamaria (Husband, Carlos), Meredith Frickey (Husband, Kendall) and Margo Gomez (Husband, Samuel “Mike”). She is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Ian Louis Landry and her parents August William Hessel and Annie Heneritta Wedeking Hessel. Her brothers Billy Hessel (Wife, Shirley) and Lonnie Hessel (Wife, Sue). She is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Federwisch (Husband, Tom), Violet Person (Husband, Dickie), and many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was an animal lover and will be missed by pets, Minnie, Dino and Pongo. “Geneva” worked for Terrytown Elementary School as an Educator and for the United States Census Bureau for many years. Upon retirement she enjoyed her pets and spending time with her family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Phillips Episcopal Church, 3643 Aurora Dr., New Orleans, LA 70131 on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 2:00 PM.
