Harry Christie Long, Jr. passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at the age of 81. He was the beloved husband of Elda Blank Long, and father of Harry J. Long (Susan) and Brian D. Long (Denise). He was the grandfather of Joshua Long, Megan Long, Harry B. Long, and Michelle Long. He was the son of the late Harry C. Long Sr. and Gertrude Murphy Long, and brother of the late James C. Long, Ila Long Blythe, and Ralph Long. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Korean War. The family would like to thank the staff of Jo Ellen Smith Nursing Home and Heart of Hospice for their loving care.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Cemetery. Express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
