

Hermileo “Joe” Duran passed away on January 2, 2021 at the age of 89. He was born in Brownsville, Texas and moved to Des Allemands, Louisiana at the age of 18 and has been a resident ever since. He was the loving husband of the late Clara Duran. He is survived by his son Oscar “Eddie” Duran, and daughters; Deborah Mauroner (Albert) and Ramona Pasquale (Lenny), his daughter-in-law Kathy Duran; grandchildren – Eddie “Put” Duran, Albert Mauroner II, Michelle Mauroner, Tonya Dennis, Randy Rome, Derrick Duran, Mellissa Duran, Ethel Billiot, Hermileo Duran III, Karmen Breaux; his brother Joe “Peppie” Duran; 28 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, his son Hermileo “Pete” Duran; daughter-in-law Karen Duran; Grandson Pasquanal “Creature” Duran; great grandson Chase Duran; parents Elija “Lizzy” and Joe Duran and brothers; Adam Duran, Raymond Duran and Isral Duran.
Joe was a man of many talents; he started as a boilermaker and through the years would prove to be a jack of all trades. He was a hard worker who would do anything for those he knew. Family was everything to him, he was an amazing husband, dedicated father and caring grandfather. He will be truly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
