Hilda Constant Rodriguez

Hilda Constant Rodriguez entered into eternal rest on May 13, 2025, at age 99. Daughter of the late John P. Constant and Lillian Thibodeaux Constant. Beloved wife of the late Charles “Nunny” Rodriguez. Loving and devoted mother of Danny Rodriguez (late Karen), Malcolm Rodriguez (Tammy), Sarah Rodriguez Kellogg, Nanette Rodriguez and the late Darlene Rodriguez Sonnier (Paul). Proud grandmother of 8 grandchildren: Christopher M. Hotard, Elizabeth A. Hotard, Leo C. DeJesus, Geoffrey C. Rodriguez, Jessica L. Rodriguez, Meghann DeJesus Blackley, Sierra Kellogg Armstrong, and Emily Rodriguez Curtis. Great-grandmother of 12 great-grandchildren: Damon Hotard, Timothy Berger, Logan Porrazzo, Nathan Hotard, Trenton Doty, Grayson Maise, Roman Blackley, Chase Gleber, Charlee Blackley, Braden Gleber, Jones DeJesus, and Josephine Armstrong. Great-great grandmother of Paige Hotard.

Hilda was preceded in death by her other siblings Desirie Constant, Cecile Constant St. Romain, Gladys Constant Neil, Inez Constant Autin, John Constant, Clifton Constant, Catherine Constant Chauvin, Ernest Constant, Shirley Constant Delger and Ronald Constant.

Hilda was a native of Bayou Goula, LA, but a lifelong resident of Marrero, LA and a proud member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation for the compassionate and dedicated care given by the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of the Ochsner Medical Center West Bank Campus.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 1:00PM at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero with visitation beginning at 9:00AM until 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna.
