Mrs. Irma Marie Dufrene Gros

Irma Dufrene Gros passed away on Saturday May 18, 2013 at 8:15 p.m. Beloved wife of the late Frederick J. Gros Sr. Loving mother of Fedderick J. Gros Jr. (and wife, Cindy). Devoted grandmother of Allison Toups (and husband, David) and Michelle Rogers (and husband, Sherman Jr.). Proud great-grandmother of David, Aaron, Trent and Tre. Daughter of the late Clothilde Frickey and Vincent Dufrene. Sister of Rita Cole, Esther Mayfield, Melvin Dufrene, Vivian Curole, Joyce Elliott and Carroll Dufrene and the late Shirley Booth, Audrey Soileau and Gail Michel.Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mrs. Gros was a Parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church and will always be loved and remembered by all who knew her.The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the nurses and staff of Belle Vie Living Center and Canon Hospice for the love and care that they provided. Aged 87 years , a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a lifelong resident of Lafitte, Louisiana. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home 5101 Westbank Expwy. Marrero, Louisiana on Wednesday morning May 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Westlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
