Jacqueline Marie Lopez

Jacqueline Marie “Tuddy” Lopez peacefully went to heaven, surrounded by her family on Monday, December 13, 2021 at the age of 67. She was born on January 8, 1954 in Buras, Louisiana to the late Albert J. and surviving Ruby Barthelemy Rodi. Loving wife for 48 years of Glenn J. Lopez, Sr. Devoted mother of Glenn, Jr. (Brandy), Jason (Lisa), and Lenny (Samantha). Proud Grandmother of Alyssa, Lainey, Sadie, Brennan, Danny and Tristan, step-grandmother of Angela, Joselyn, Gavin, Layla, David and Evan. Great-grandmother of Julian and Oralia. Sister of Jack Rodi and aunt to her only niece Jaelyn, along with numerous cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Dave Lopez and mother-in-law Helen Lopez.

Tuddy attended LW Higgins High School. She was a substitute teacher at Marrero Middle School and worked part time for various companies. She loved cooking and spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She loved football and was a devoted Saints and Tiger fan. She loved riding and marching in Mardi Gras parades and was a member and past President of the Sassy Katz Social Marching Club. It gave her great joy to help the less fortunate by working many benefits for Make A Wish Foundation and various charities that raised awareness for cancer, the homeless and under privileged children. She bravely fought her battle with cancer for 7 years. She was a very strong woman with a caring heart who taught her children tough love, respect, always believe in yourself and family comes first. She was loved and will be missed dearly by all that knew her.

Family and friends are invited to attend the memorial visitation on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 beginning at 9:00 AM at Westside-Leitz/Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway.
