James Ray Hebert

James “Jimmie” Ray Hebert died on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at his home. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Ulice Granier Hebert. Loving father of Ken Hebert (Betty) and Keith Hebert. A proud grandfather of Shanttae Grabert, Jessica Grabert, Karli Hebert and Emilie Hebert McCutcheon and eight great grandchildren. Son of the late Octavia Lirette Hebert and Curtis Hebert. Brother of Anna May Hebert Falgout and preceded in death by Carol Hebert and Randall Hebert. He is survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to his friend and caregiver, Julie.

A loving father, James served his country during the Korean War in the 841st Engineer Aviation Battalion in the United States Army. He worked at Hebert Sheet Metal Works for many years.

“Jimmie” enjoyed reading, antique automobiles, Cajun music and dancing and gathering with family and friends.
