Jeanie was a classy lady through and through, spending most of her days as a devoted housewife. “Mawmaw”, as she was affectionately known to her grandchildren, always made time to play cards and games such as Tripoley and Pokeno. She loved getting dressed up and going out to shop to which afterward would be followed with, “Are y’all hungry?”, and she would treat us to lunch. Jeanie was a quiet woman but never went a day without talking to her lifetime best friend/sister, Maedelle, always catching her up on all the hot gossip.
To her family she was the epitome of strength, enduring many hardships during her life. Despite life’s many challenges she remained strong in her faith, always praying for everyone she loved. She is loved, treasured and will be missed dearly by all of her family and friends.
Jeanie was born on February 24, 1944, to the late Robert Bennett and Ola Fusilier. She is survived by her daughter Jeanie Frazier (James); her grandchildren Mandy (Tan), Raven, Amber, Jilane (Ricardo), Brooke and Brittany; her great grandchildren Shaidya (Camren), Alexis, Bryce, Kiera, Kraven, Brenden, Drake, August and Sebastian; her great-great grandchild Gracelyn; her siblings Helen “Maedell” and Debbie (Steve).
She is preceded in death by her children Dody (Glenn), Frank, and Norman Jr.; her siblings Dale and Cynthia.
Special thanks to her daughter, Jeanie, and her granddaughters (Raven, Shaidya and Kiera) for their phenomenal job of loving and caring for her during the last few years. Your hard work has never gone unnoticed and is greatly appreciated by the entire family. The family would also like to thank the “A-Team” Star and Anthony with Passages Hospice for their continuous care and support during Jeanie’s final months.
