Born in San Diego, California, Jeffrey lived a life full of compassion and adventure. As part of a military family, he traveled the world and embraced each new place with an open heart and mind.
Jeffrey found joy in life’s simple pleasures. A passionate sports fan, he especially enjoyed football and basketball, cheering on his favorite teams — the New Orleans Saints and the Pelicans.
For 16 wonderful years, Jeffrey shared his life with his fiance', Julie. Together, they built a foundation rooted in love, laughter, and mutual respect. Before becoming parents, they made countless memories traveling and exploring the world side by side. Their love deepened as they welcomed three beautiful daughters — bright, sweet, and delightfully silly — who carry both their parents’ spirits within them.
In January 2024, Jeffrey was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Despite the challenges of chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation, he showed remarkable strength and resilience. With determination and grace, he continued his studies and proudly graduated from Delgado Charity School of Nursing. Although he never had the opportunity to begin his nursing career, Jeffrey’s dedication, courage, and accomplishments stand as a powerful testament to his spirit.
Above all, Jeffrey was a devoted father. He loved his children unconditionally and gave everything he could to create a life filled with warmth, laughter, and love. He led by example — teaching through patience, showing strength through gentleness, and offering unwavering support and encouragement. His greatest joy was simply being present — sharing stories, playing video games, or offering a reassuring hug. To his children he was the best dad ever.
Jeffrey will be remembered for his kindness, calm nature, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. His laughter, wisdom, and gentle soul touched everyone who knew him, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him — especially his daughters— Aubrey, Alani, and Aria.
He is also survived by his mother Prescila Stewart and his stepfather Dwayne Stewart, his siblings Elenita Stewart and Jason Kendall.
A memorial service will be held at St. Cletus Church, 3600 Claire Avenue, Gretna, Louisiana on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 10:00AM.
