Jimmie Edwin Pipkins passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2013. He was 80. Fiancée of Aaron Joy Edgecombe. Father of Colin Pipkins (Lolita) and Scott Pipkins. Brother of Jerry, Doxey Dan, Charlie Murle, and Norris Cordell Pipkins, and Sharon Monteel. Preceded in death by his wife, Louella Pipkins, and parents, Vava and Colie Pipkins. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was a native of Neeley, Mississippi and resident of the Westbank for the majority of his life. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War. He was a barge clerk for McDermott, having traveled most of the world in his career. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services from Westside Leitz-Eagan, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Thursday Afternoon, September 19, 2013 at 1:00.
