Jo Ann Toni Hotard

Jo Ann Toni Hotard entered the gates of heaven at the age of 65, as she was called to eternal life Sunday, January 11, 2015 at West Jefferson Hospital. She was preceded in death by her father, Claude Hotard, Sr.; mother, Marie Emily Weber Hotard Guidry; sister, Ione Hotard O’Connor; brothers, Claude Hotard Jr.; Alvin Hotard; and Douglas Hotard; She leaves to cherish her memories, her children: Rhonda Martin Danos (Joseph), Scheree JoAnn Martin (Dara), and Ronald Martin, Jr.; grandchildren: Mallorie Danos, Breanna Danos, Bailey Danos, Damon Martin and Ronald Martin; brothers, Jake Hotard and Calvin Hotard; sisters: Delores Bernard and Emelda Fourreaux; and many other dear family and friends. Jo Ann was born in New Orleans on April 24, 1949, grew up in Crown Point, and resided in Marrero. After graduating from West Jefferson High School, Jo Ann sought higher education as studying and learning was her passion. Jo Ann worked in banking for 30+yrs and in the medical profession for 10+yrs. She loved spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching sports, dancing, singing, gardening, and billiards. Services will be held Friday January 16, 2015 from 4:00 till 8:00 with a mass at 7:00 at Westside Funeral Home 5101 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to assist in covering funeral expenses.
