Joseph Rogers Jr.

He was the beloved husband of Shirley Parria Rogers for over 59 years; Father of Kevin Rogers, Kim Palmisano (Robin), and Kurt Rogers (Sheila); grandfather of Kayden Rogers, Brittany Floyd, Jonathan Palmisano (Desiree), Jason Palmisano (Kayla), Jareth Palmisano, and Danielle Matherne (Bryce); great grandfather of 10; son of the late Joseph Rogers and Yolanda Rogers; brother of Nathan Rogers (the late Peggy), Michael Rogers, Donna Dempster (Crown) and the late Rosaria Cottier, Lynn Rogers and Roy Rogers (the late Allyn). He was also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was a lifelong resident of Lafitte, who worked as a commercial fisherman. He also worked at Captain Jonathan's Seafood for over a decade. He loved hanging out with his grandchildren and going to the casino.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Pius Cemetery in Crown Point. Express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
