Josephine "Josie" Palermo

Beloved daughter of Mamie Mandina Palermo and the late Emile John Palermo.

Sister of Ann Palermo Beaucoudray and the late Ciro A. Palermo; sister-in-law of Raymond Beaucoudray and Bonnie Alonzo Palermo.

Loving aunt of Troy and Critty Beaucoudray, Michelle and Ross Montagnino, Gena and Harold Curtis, Jr. and Christopher and Tasha Palermo.

Adoring great-aunt of Vincenzo Montagnino, Hailey and Lauren Curtis, Emma Rose Palermo, C.J. Miller and Glen and Whitley Richardson. Great-great aunt of Zariah Gray.

Josie is also survived by the “Girl Cousins”, one aunt, numerous cousins and many other loving relatives and friends.

Josie, age sixty years and a 1967 graduate of West Jefferson High School, was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Rosalie Parish and also a member of the Ladies Altar Society. In addition to being a member of the Buccaneer Belle’s Avec du Chapeau Rouge, Josie was also a retiree of Jefferson Parish and served as Treasurer of the Jefferson Parish Public Employees Association.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Harmony Hospice for the care given to Josie during her illness.

Relatives, friends of the family and those mentioned above are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from St. Rosalie Catholic Church, 600 Second Street, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 12:00 PM. Interment to follow in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA. Visitation will be held at the Church on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until funeral time. Please call 504-341-9421 for information.
