

June was preceded in death by her husband Telles J. “Junior” Brunet, Jr., her parents Morris L. Richoux & Louise Duffourc Richoux and her siblings, Emilie Richoux Lynch & Ronald J. Richoux.
June will be survived by her three daughters, Sheila Brunet Fernandez (the late Honorable Sheldon Fernandez), Paula Brunet LaChica (the late Nicky LaChica), and Sandilyn Ann Brunet; four grandchildren, Richie Kiraly (Donna Kiraly), Paul Kiraly, Stephen Fernandez (Julie Fernandez) and Stanton Fernandez (Sonia Fernandez); eight great-grandchildren, Dillon, Nathan, Kyler, Keith, and Klayton Kiraly and Reed, Braden & Collin Fernandez; sister-in-law, Jean Perria Richoux. She will also be missed by a host of nieces and nephews.
June was a native and longtime resident of Westwego. She retired from the Jefferson Parish School Board after serving for 20 years. She was a member of The Legion of Mary Pastoral Ministry for Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church and member of the Westwego Senior Citizen Center.

June was a strong lady with a good heart and kind smile. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation in her honor on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 5-9 p.m. at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway. Visitation will resume at the funeral home Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 7-10:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Gates of Heaven Mausoleum in the church cemetery.
