Katherene A. Perkins

Katherene A. Perkins passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at the age of 81. She was born in Gretna, Louisiana to the late Eddie and Ida Arcement. Kat was the devoted wife of the late Wayne Perkins. Proud mother of Tina Bostick (Michael), Pamela Coker (Jody), Sheila Reeve (Steve McDaniel), Steven Adams Sr. (Erica) and the late Lonnie Adams. Proud grandmother of Waveless "RJ" Breaux (Nicole), Kassie Barras Bodden (Devito), Danielle Gonzales (Stephen), Aaron Reeve (Taylor), Steven Adams Jr. (Brittany) and Shayla Adams. Great-grandmother of Natalee and Ryne Breaux, Gabriella Barras, Addyson Breaux, Lahkyn Gonzales, Bryson Reeve and Layla Adams. Sister of the late Eddie Arcement Jr. Kat is also survived her fur baby, Axel and other relatives and friends.

Kat enjoyed tending to her flowers, swinging on her patio while listening to the "oldies", trying her luck on scratch-off tickets and shopping trips to Dollar General. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and fur baby. Kat was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation for Katherene on Friday, September 12, 2025 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM and interment will immediately follow at Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale. Family and friends are encouraged to come dressed in casual, comfortable clothing.
