Mr. Kevin Frank Ernst

Kevin Frank Ernst passed away on June 15, 2010 at the age of 57. He was a native of Victoria, TX and a resident of Luling. He was the beloved husband of Marietta “Missy” Ehle Ernst for the past 26 years, the loving father of Susan Elizabeth Haydel, Dr. Shelley Erin Haydel and Steven Frank Ernst (Brooke) and the grandfather of Junah and Harper Ernst. He was the son of the late Frank H. Ernst and Dorothy Wedemeier Ernst and the brother of Darla E. McBroom (Randy), Dana E. Hull (George) and the late Orion Ernst. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Meghan McBroom, Julianne, Courtney and Hayden Hull as well as his beloved four-legged companion, Shyloh. Kevin was a proud United States Army Veteran and he was a dedicated serviceman having received several medals, including the National Defense Service Medal, Expert Badge with a Rifle Medal, Good Conduct Medal and most recently he was awarded the Louisiana Distinguished Veteran Award for 2010. He was an avid reader, dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and enjoyed spending time at the beach.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services from WESTSIDE/LEITZ-EAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 5101 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY, MARRERO. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 19th, 2010 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon followed by a Mass in the Chapel.
