Kirk "Captian Kirk" Patrick Landry

Kirk “Captain Kirk” Patrick Landry entered peacefully into heaven on Thursday, April 23, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sandra Marcombe Landry of 33 wonderful years. A loving father of Robert Landry, Nicole Landry and Monica Landry. A proud grandfather of Ashley, Kyra, Laela, Jalen and Nehemiah II. Son of Evelyne Favre DeLaune and the late Paul P. Landry. Son-in-law of Herminia Toups and the late Huey Marcombe. Brother of Johnmarc Landry (Joan), Heidi DeLaune Schloegel (August), Andre Dubose and Mariepaul Landry Wilson (Scott). Brother-in-law of Jose and Martha Rodriguez. Kirk and his wife were also responsible for raising 100 foster children and survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Age 57, a native of Shreveport, Louisiana and a lifelong resident of Waggaman, Louisiana. “Captain Kirk” was a boat captain for numerous years in the Port of New Orleans and also was a contractor. He enjoyed fishing, wonderful fish fryer at functions, Church Deacon of Celebration Church, volunteered his time to rebuild his community here and abroad, serving other people here and in other countries and spending his time with family and friends. He loved his Lord and his church. His loving spirit, wit and his numerous and humorous jokes and comments will be deeply missed. “Captain Kirk” was always the live of the party, he enjoyed life.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy., Marrero, LA on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 11:00 am. Visitation on Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Monday, 9:00 am until Funeral time. Interment following in Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale.
