Leon Mitchel Ruttley, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at the age of 57. He was the father of Rachel Ruttley Williams (David) and Leon Mitchel Ruttley, III. He was the son of Fern Heard Ruttley Nolan, and the late Leon Mitchel Ruttley, Sr. He was the brother of Patsy Ruttley Creppel (Albert, Sr.), Ginny Ruttley, Wanda Ruttley Blair (Tom), and Tiffany Ruttley Berryman (James). He was the uncle of Albert “Boo” Creppel, Jr., Mattie Rojas, Tommy Joe Blair, Donna Ferrell, Donald Ferrell, Jr., Andreá Betancourt, Cosmo Comiskey, Calley Coldsmith, Ross Coldsmith, Ashley Berryman, Reagan Berryman, and Jesse Berryman. He was also survived by many other relatives and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at Barataria Baptist Church, 2596 Jean Lafitte Blvd., Lafitte, on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Ruttley Cemetery in Barataria. Express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
