

Lillian “Lil” Verdin Duffourc, age 80, was called home on Friday, August 26, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Walter J. Duffourc. Loving mother of Theresa Duffourc McConatha (Michael) and the late Pamela Duffourc Thomas and Walter Joseph Duffourc Jr. Proud grandmother of Jenna Allin, Jourdan Baudier and Brandi Thomas. Great grandmother of Bryce Allin and Nolan Baudier. Daughter of the late Antoine and Marie Levron Verdin. Sister of Nicole Verdin, Antoine David Verdin, Louis Verdin, John “Jackie” Verdin, Marie Evelia Bond and the late Fedless Verdin, Wilfred Verdin, Allen Levron and Laurel Verdin Garrabot. Also survived a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Lillian was a native of Cutoff and long-time resident of Westwego. When she wasn’t spending time with her family and friends, her passion was sewing. Everyone would agree she was a very talented seamstress. She was also a proud member of the American Legion. She enjoyed family gatherings where she could turn any event into a happy time for everyone. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the evening wake at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. Visitation will continue on Friday morning starting at 8:00am until the Funeral Service which will begin at 11:00am. Interment will take place at Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale.
