Lillian May Marcombe

Lillian Ronquille Marcombe passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the age of 92. Born in Barataria, Louisiana to the late Mathile and Martha Ronquille on April 1, 1926. Lillian was the beloved wife of 64 years to the late Frank Marcombe, Jr. She is the cherished sister of the late Mathilda Ronquille Trosclair and Jim Ronquille. Mrs. Lillian is survived by numerous nieces and nephews who are left behind to cherish her memory. Lovingly known to her close friends and family as “Yien”, Lillian worked for many years as a shrimp packer for Robinson Canning Company and in her later years, she loved to take bus trips and travel all around the United States. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard and although she had no children of her own, she helped raise many nieces and nephews. The family of Mrs. Lillian would like to extend their gratitude to all of Yien’s caregivers over the years for their continuous compassion and care. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services being held at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home located at 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 9:00am until 12:00pm. A short service will be held in the parlor at 12:00pm prior to interment at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum in Westwego, Louisiana. Please express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com
