Lucy Chiasson Pitre a retired cafeteria worker for the Jefferson Parish Public School System died peacefully of kidney failure in her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday Morning, May 17, 2015. She was 78 years old. Mrs. Pitre was born in Mathews and lived in Bridge City for many years. She was married to the late Mr. Donald Pitre. Survivors include three daughters Dinah Jenney (John), Ismae Girard (Gary) and Carla Ford (Jerry); one sister Valerie Bruce and one brother Kenneth Chiasson; six grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. Daughter of the late Beatrice and Thomas Chiasson. Mrs. Pitre was a member of The Bridge City Volunteer Fire Co. #1 Support Group. A Mass will be said on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 11:00 in the morning at the Chapel at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00, and again on Friday morning from 8:00 until the time of service. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park.
