

Manuel Leonard "Limp" Haynes, entered into his heavenly home on Tuesday April 7, 2020 at the age of 78 at West Jefferson Medical Center. Manuel was born in Woodville, MS. He resided in New Orleans, Louisiana for the duration of his life. He is survived by his wife Claudia Haynes. Through marriage they were blessed with 5 children, Sharon; Pamela McMath (James); Tammy (Christopher) and Delvin Haynes. He was known as Paw paw to his 8 grandchildren, Jerime & Adrian Haynes , Sr. Racey & Yarun "Tank" McMath; Damari R., Demetrius J., Bryson J. and D. Haynes. 3 beautiful great Adrian Jr., Ja'Lay and Jailen Haynes. Also survived by 4 siblings, Dorothy & James Haynes; Alma & Curtis Preston a ong with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was baptized at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church of New Orleans, LA. in 1978. Mr. Haynes was always a proud provider . was also a long member of the NAACP, Graduate of Delgado Junior College; he worked as a Foreman and Longshoreman at the Port of New Orleans for many years. He was also an excellent Chef. He loved hunting and fishing and was known for bringing his children and their neighborhood friends on fishing trips. He is preceded in death by his son Manuel Haynes Jr., both parents, Burris Haynes and Hester Preston, 2 brothers Louis and Oscar Haynes.
Manuel was cremated and there will be a private memorial service (TBA). Arrangements by Westside Leitz Eagan Funeral Home.
