Mary Nell Baird Cheramie

Mary Nell Baird Cheramie passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, January 9, 2019. She was 80 years old. Beloved wife of the late Morgan Cheramie Sr. Loving mother of Morgan Cheramie Jr. and Patti Cheramie. Grandmother of Tara Adams, Cory Cheramie, Jason Cheramie, Brandon Cheramie, Joshua Dunlap, and Jay Canova. Great-grandmother of Taylor and Brooke Menesses, Brady Jo and Asher Cheramie, and Audree and Carter Dunlap. Sister of Mel Prater, and the late Betty Higgs, Jimmy, John Baird, and Evelyn Hatfield. Daughter of the late Virgie Beliew Boudreaux (Ernest) and the late John Baird. Mary was a native of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and has been a resident of the Westbank since 1953. She was a member of the first graduating class of West Jefferson High School. Mary was a devout parishioner of Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church in Harvey. She worked from home as a master seamstress, and was an excellent cook. The family would like to express their most sincere gratitude to the staff of Bayside Healthcare Center for their love, support, and care over of the past few years. Relatives and friends of the family, and employees of Chamberlain University, are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at INFANT JESUS OF PRAGUE, 700 Maple Street, Harvey, on Friday morning, January 18, 2019 at 11:00.
