Mary Langlina Choquette entered into eternal life on Friday, July 24, 2015. Her spirit is carried by her four children, nine grandchildren, and seventeen Great grandchildren, one Sibling, Clarence “Buddy” Langlina,Jr (Barbara) and her extended family of relations and friends from every walk of life. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Mary during her 85 years, among them: Kiss and hug everyone. Invite family, friends and their family and friends to your homes for dinner. Always have extra food cooked and on the stove just in case someone visits. You should always feed everyone, even if they just had dinner. Don’t forget the coffee. Everyone must eat and drink! Never say mean things about anybody; they are “poor souls to pray for”. Give to all charity’s, choose to believe the best about what they do with the money. Don’t rip the extra envelope that is sent with your bills, you might be able to use them for contacting and writing someone. In Mary’s lifetime she made contact time after time. Those who’ve taken her lessons to heart will continue to ensure that a cold drink will be left for the overheated garbage collector and mail carrier, every baby will be kissed, every person will be fed, your family and friends and their family and friends will always be welcomed. Above all, Mary touched everyone. Reading this, you may recall a letter, conversation, or moment with Mary that touched your heart, tickled your funny bone, or maybe made you say “huh”. She is survived by a host of loving children, Sharon White (Jonny), Walter “Bubba” Choquette,Jr. (Kathy), Dr. Mark E. Choquette Sr. (Celeste) and Dan P. Choquette (Laura). She leaves behind her grandchildren, Christy Nielsen (Jens II), Rodney White (Lori), Jacques Choquette (Heather), Mark Choquette, Jr. (Kaila), Kathryn LeCron (Ross), Matthew Choquette (Hope), Christopher Choquette, Lauren Choquette, Cameron Choquette, Keith Camper (Sarah), and Jennifer Camper. Mary is reunited with her husband, favorite dancer, and best whistler, Walter Choquette, her mother and father, Clarence D. Langlina and Mary Hennessey Langlina, and brother, Henry J. Schmitt. Friends (and strangers she would have love to have met) can visit with Mary’s family at the Westside / Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA 70072. on Monday, July 27, 2015.Visitation 10am-1pm, with Mass at 1:00.
