Merelda "Moe" Frances Alleman passed away on June 9, 2023 at the age of 90. She was born on November 9, 1932 in White Castle, Louisiana to the late Villiar and Edna Alleman. She was mother of Danny J. Callegan (Karen). Sister of Fairington "Boy" Alleman (Eleanor) and the late Laura Callegan (Sterling), Nazie Callegan (Bernard) and Fannie "Ting" Metrejean (Horace, Sr.). Loving aunt of Lynette (Russell), Horace, Jr. (Susan), Marcia (Anthony), Patricia (John), Brian (Karen), Carla (the late Matt), Carrie (Mark), Kevin (Deborah), Korey (Lori), and the late Sheila (the late Alex), Farrel and Chris. She is also survived by numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends. Moe was loved and will be dearly missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 10:30 AM until 1:00 PM at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero. Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 PM and interment will immediately follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna.
