Nancy T. Lory passed away on August 21, 2025 at the age of 81. She was born in Houma, Louisiana on July 11,1944 to the late August and Eva Thiel. She was the devoted wife of the late Olin Lory. Loving mother of Phara Martin, Maria Mims and the late August Porter. Proud grandmother of Dustin Rome, Cody Rome, Emily Martin, Tamekia Mims, DeLanea Smith, Misty Mims and James Mims Jr. Great grandmother of Shawn, Octavia, Kylie, Joey, Kaitlyn, Candy, Nathaniel, Keeton, Mia and Alise and great-grandmother of 14. Sister of Scherron Thiel and the late Patrick Thiel, Antonio Theil and Nellie Roach. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation for Nancy on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 9:30 AM until1:30 PM at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero. Burial will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna.
