Patricia Buras Melancon Wernert, aged 72, died peacefully on May 7, 2013 at home surrounded by family and friends. Patsy was born September 9, 1940, in Port Sulphur, LA, the daughter of Windsor and Hilda Buras. Patsy was preceded in death by her husband Moe Wernert and her son Chad Melancon. She is survived by her children Perry Melancon (Benson Row), Kevin Melancon (Ellen), Denise Melancon Thompson (James); Siblings Margaret Gauthier, Dolores Melancon, Charles Buras and Philip Buras. Visitation will be Friday evening, May 17th 4pm until 10pm and Services will be Saturday, May 18th 9am until 2pm at Westside Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy., Marrero, LA 70072.
