Ralph L. Laurent Sr.

Ralph Leonard Laurent, Sr. entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the age of 77. He was the beloved husband of Heloise Perez Laurent for the past 55 years, the loving father of Ralph Laurent, Jr. (Yvonne) and Jill Laurent Doucet (Butch) as well as the devoted grandfather of Jessica Usea (Don), Star Lynn Laurent (Damian), Ralph Laurent, III (Jolene), Stacy Guidroz (Stephen) and Butch Doucet as well as the great-grandfather of Alieyah Danos, Emily Usea, Mike Hibley and Jack Hibley. He was the son of the late Ralphael and Louise Laurent and the brother of the late Lewis Laurent. He is also survived by his God-daughter Lorraine Laurent Krummel and many nieces and nephews.

Ralph was a native of Westwego and a longtime resident of Marrero. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War and was a member of the VFW Post 6793, Amvets Post 38 and the American Legion.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at WESTSIDE/LEITZ-EAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 5101 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY, MARRERO. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2012 beginning at 4:00 PM and lasting until 9:00 PM and again on Monday, February 13, 2012 beginning at 9:00 AM and lasting until 12:00 PM at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Chapel.
