Rowena Rita Labat

Rowena was the wife of the late Ray J. Labat. She was the loving mother of the late Donna Ray Pitre (Albert), Gregory J. Labat Sr.(the late Wanda), Jeffrey A. Labat (Pamela), and Kim G. Labat (Debora). She was the grandmother of Kenny Janeau, Kory Janeau, Tabitha Malone, Cherie Brown, James Labat, the late Gregory Labat Jr., Erica Bergeron, Ashley Labat, Alysa Humphrey, and Travis Labat. Rowena is survived by her brother, Russell Hymel and her sisters, Yolande Waguespack, Geraldine Becnel, Faye Troxclair, Elaine Troxclair, and Francis Poirrier. She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Hymel, Richard Hymel and Huey Hymel. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Marguerite Bourgeois, Leonie Therese Hymel, Elsie Hymel and Irma Marchadie. She will also be missed by her 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 12 pm at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna.
