

Rozetta was born Sunrise July 13,1956, and entered into Eternal Rest Sunset January 13, 2024. She is survived by her 3 Sisters, Donna Percle (Irby), Pamela Marie Stilley, and Sherree Martinez (Caretaker)
She was the Loving Godmother of Donna Faye LeBlanc, the Late Mr. Jose A Martinez, Jr. and the Late Katina Marie.
Rozetta is also survived by her two great nephews Jose Martinez III and Vincent Martinez whom she took under her care after the passing of their Father as well as a great niece Karizma D. Massey, her nephew and caretaker Rev. Victor Marie (Sherree) and a host of other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, 1 great great nephew; along with many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 23 years, Eddie Paul Mollere; parents, Vincent "Veno" Marie and Carrie Meyers Marie; her brother Anthony Joseph Marie and Roddy Joseph Marie; and her two nephews Vincent Marie and Jose Martinez,Jr (her Godson); and Katina Marie (God Daughter)
Rozetta was a true servant of God. She put God first in all aspects of her life. She was very inspirational to all her family. Always giving to others, a very generous, selfless, and loving person. She was a Spiritual Mother to many, a mother to the motherless and a friend to the friendless.
Rozetta loved her New Orleans Saints! She will be sadly missed by all her family, friends and her fur babies, MiMi and P. Lo.
Rozetta grew up in Westwego, La, Graduated LW Higgins High School and in 1977 she married her beloved Eddie Paul. They lived in Westwego and Marrero for a short time after getting wed afterwhich they moved to Laffite, La and lived on the Bayou for most of the 23 years they shared together before his passing. They owned several different boats, and a house boat. For many years Roze was a housewife and second mother to the Twins Vincent and Victor. In between staying home much of the time she fished as commercial fisherman with Eddie. For a brief period Rozetta worked as a substitute teacher with the JP School Board, but in 1989 she decided she would head into the workforce as a Independent Modern Lady as she was very much just that a true lady. She started as a Clerk and Cashier and for many years that was ok for her. She then received an over due promotion and went into management where she served as a Shift/ Assistant Manager and then as the Assistant Store Manager before becoming General Manager and receiving her own store at a location in the Gretna area. After Eddie's passing she resigned from the then, Swifty Serve Corporation; purchased her parents' home and moved back to Westwego, La After returning to her roots she went into join Walmart as a store associate and worked in the Electronics Dept. for over 15 years until her forced retirement in 2019.
We as a family rest assured knowing that our beloved Sister, Godmother, Aunt, Cousin, Friend and lastly our "Rock" is rejoicing in Heaven with all our loved ones who have gone before.
We would like to extend a special invitation to Friends, Co Workers and Managers of Walmart Jefferson Highway, Time Saver, Swifty/Ez Serve and also members of The Westwego Center, and Cornerstone Church Marrero, The OLPS CYO during years 1970-1980, and, also former members of The First Baptist Church in Westwego, La are all invited to attend.
A Funeral/ Worship Service will be held in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at 3:00 PM. Rev. Victor Marie, Min. Sr Francis Autry, and Father Sal will officiate. Inurnment will be in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery at a later date.
